These Non Profit organizations either enlisted the help of our volunteers to assemble and finish their Silent Auction quilts or we designed special quilts to donate for their event. They were all very appreciative of the time, effort and talent put into their quilts.

Alzheimers Foundation

FHQ volunteers donated over 100 hours in assembling, quilting and binding this beautiful quilt

from the Alzheimer's Association

in 2007.  The theme this year

is 'trees'.

The center of each block is a tree, painted by an Alzheimer's victim,

and reproduced on fabric

Other Alzheimer Assoc. volunteers add the 'crazy quilt' pieces

around the pictures andhand- embellishedeach one of the blockswith yarn, shells, lace, beads, embroidery, etc.

The sashing & outer border is velvet.

Denver Health Medical Center

Denver, CO

Ellen Palmer & Dusty Darrah took four ‘special’ quilts that were made for requests like this.  Even the employees that accepted the quilts said they all saw a quilt that ‘they’ would bid on too.

They were very impressed with them and very thankful that we brought them down for the auction.

Highlands Ranch Community Association

This quilt was completed in time to donate to

the Special Needs Sweetheart Dance

at Highlands Ranch Community Association.

The young lady that won our grand prize Sweetheart Quilt was so thrilled, she was showing it to everyone

in the building on her way out the door.

Several of us also volunteered to help work at the dance itself and handed out some great stuffed animals.

We also provided a lot of cute stuffed animals for door prizes.

Primrose School

Littleton, CO

Susan Howarth, Sara Van Horne & Jacque Schneider work together, laying out the blocks for more volunteers to help assemble.

This quilt is very similar to the quilt we made for the

HRCA Special Needs dance.

We used red hearts instead of pink for this quilt.

9-Patches and heart blocks make a nice combination

for the silent auction quilt.
