ALL MAIN CATEGORIES

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in all categories will receive

a ribbon indicating which prize they won which will be displayed with the winning quilt throughout the show.

Also, a Quilter’s Gift Bag or Basket containing items donated

by generous businesses will be presented

to 1st place winners in each category

on Saturday, July 18th before the close of the show.  

(Exception: Kids & Youth, see below)

 KIDS & YOUTH CATEGORIES

A special ribbon for entering our show will be displayed with each quilt entered in the Kids & Youth categories.

1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons will also be displayed

with the winning quilts during the show.

BEST Prize winners in both the Kids & Youth categories will be presented with a brand new sewing machine

donated by two of our local sewing machine/fabric shops.

Winners of either machine will graduate to the next higher category for their entries in the following year(s).

JUDGE’S CHOICE

A minimum of 2 qualified judges donate their time to judge & critique all the quilts entered in our categories. Each judge will choose one quilt from the categories they judged that is their very favorite.  It doesn’t have to be one of the prize winners.  These quilts will receive a Judge’s Choice ribbon which will be displayed with the quilt during the show.

CELEBRITY JUDGES

Local celebrities are invited to browse the quilt display area on Friday, July 17th and choose their favorite quilt in the show.  A special ribbon will be displayed with their choice, showing the celebrity’s name on the back of the ribbon. 

A photo will be taken of the celebrity in front of their choice and will be published on our website after the show.

In 2008, Theresa Marchetta, Channel 7 anchor, chose "1950s Santa Claus Quilt"

by Mary Joyce Thompson.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE

People’s Choice ballots will be counted at the end of the first day, Friday, July 17th and the winning quilt will display the People’s Choice ribbon

during the show on Saturday, July 18th.

Also, a Quilter’s Gift Bag or Basket containing items donated by generous businesses will be presented to the People’s Choice winner

on Saturday, July 18th before the close of the show.
