24” wooden quilt squares with historic, meaningful and personal significance

for each location are displayed in downtown Littleton,

Golden & Heritage Square.

A Study of 19^th Century Star Quilts by the American Quilt Study Group” and “Out of This World: Contemporary Star Quilts”   The star quilts from the American Quilt Study Group are absolutely spectacular.  Members selected an antique quilt to copy or use as inspiration to make update smaller quilts.  Also see contemporary quilts from the museum collection and other invited artists.

Sunday Sew-In

at

Make It Sew

Come Join the Fun!

Every year, Bob & Karen Juenneman, owners of Make It Sew,

generously hosts a fun Sew-In at their Broomfield shop

to benefit Firehouse Quilts.

The public is invited to help make quilts for Firehouse Quilts to donate to fire departments

all over Colorado.  The fire fighters give our quilts to children they see on their emergency runs.

Free kits are provided for visitors to sew 45” square quilt tops. HandiQuilter Avante 18” machine helps to quilts the tops that are finished.  Hands-on training

for the quilting machineis available too.

$100 Gift Basket awarded on Sew-In day.

We're moving our fundraising quilt show to a larger,

more open space but staying in Douglas County. 

We'll have of room for more quilts on display as well as more vendors,

classes, concession and cafe and

a Sit & Sew for FHQ area where you can sew quilt tops

for Firehouse Quilts. 

We're very excited to invite you to participate in whatever way you can: 

• enter quilts in our contest
• encourage others to do the same
• take a class
• Sit & Sew for FHQ during the show
• tell vendors about the expanded space
• bring a carload of friends down to the show itself July 20 & 21, 2012.
