2012 FHQ Logo
Although we are not associated with any particular fire department, we use the image of a firetruck in our logo. It has a blue & yellow quilt in the back panel showing our quilts are onboard for every emergency and will be given to children in crisis and in need. The red stitching line curves down from the fender to reveal a heart, every quilt is made with love.

Samantha Romage is an aspiring children’s book illustrator (a new member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) that has had a passion for art ever since she could barely hold a pencil. This is probably due to her having a supportive and creative family. So after those toddler years, Fraggle Rock and many boxes “little tiny noodles with holes in them” (macaroni and cheese}, she made her way in becoming an illustrator and designer.
She has lived in quite a few places; but loving the towns and the city of Boston, Samantha graduated with a degree in illustration from Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts in 2007. She formally studied art for ten years and now happily resides in the north shore area working as a graphic designer while also working and striving to make her illustration career dream become a reality. Along with art, she enjoys playing games, movies, sewing, writing, politics and doing what she can to make the world a little better. |

Samantha has some great drawings on her website, that's why I contacted her in 2011 to see what we could create for our new logo. To learn more about her or see more of her work, visit her website www.samantharomage.com. We look forward to using it for many years. Great Job, Sam! Volunteers of Firehouse Quilts
