Firehouse Quilts Receives Grant

from Applewood Plumbing & Heating

John Ward, President of Applewood Plumbing & Heating in Denver

donates $12,000 to local nonprofits each year.  He feels that if he gave the total amount to a large, nation-wide group, it might not have the impact in our own community that he sees by giving $1,000 to twelve different groups in our area.

Every month, John Ward presents his generous donation to a different nonprofit group in the Denver area.  In December, 2007, Firehouse Quilts was chosen from a huge list of deserving groups that help the community.

We're excited to announce that John will be one of the Celebrity Judges for our annual quilt show, July 18 & 19, 2008 at the Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch CO.
