Quilter's Gift Baskets and Bags

Companies from all over the nation have sent wonderful quilting-related items for us to use in our

Quilter's Gift Baskets for the winners in our quilt show again this year.

Thanks so much to all the companies listed below that have sent wonderful donations to be used in our

gift baskets to honor the winners of our categories.

As donations for our gift baskets are received, the name of your company

and a link to your website will be listed here and also printed in our quilt show program.

Help Us Fill Our Winner's Gift Baskets!

Photos on this page are just a sampling from our 2009 Quilt Show Awards Ceremony,

honoring the quilters that were awarded prizes for their excellent workmanship.

Don't they look excited to receive our Gift Baskets?

Ellen Palmer gets next prize basket ready as

Dusty Darrah announces the winner.

If you can make an 'in-kind' donation to help fill our

Quilter's Gift Baskets, it would be greatly appreciated.

We assemble a beautiful gift basket or gift bag as the prize

for each of our quilt show winners. (approx. 30)

Everything in the gift basket has been donated

from quilting or sewing businesses

throughout the United States.

We always need nice, quilting related gifts to give

to the winners of our contest.

This quilt by Jessica Casady won

2009 Best of Show.

If gifts are left over, they are used as door prizes

at our Volunteer Appreciation event, honoring the countless hours

they give to Firehouse Quilts every year.

Our volunteers work tirelessly all year long,

donating over 1,000 snuggle quilts to Colorado Fire Departments,

Action Care Ambulance, several counties Human Services.

The firefighters give our quilts to children they see on their emergency runs.

Many non-emergency organizations working with children
in traumatic situations also receive our quilts.

Janee Brewer won 1st place in

LongArm Computerized category in 2009.

The larger quilts (twin sized) made by volunteers of FHQ

are given to the

Douglas County Women's Crisis Center

and

the smallest quilts and fleece blankies are given to

Denver Health Medical Center,

our local low-income hospital for the newborns.

2009 quilt by Marjorie Eastlund

won 3rd place in Art.
