Viking Employees Offer Embroidery Samples
to Firehouse Quilts

Every day, embroidery machines at the Viking store (inside JoAnn’s Fabric in Centennial) are humming away, creating beautiful, embroidered samples for customers to watch & learn.
For several months, these samples have generously been given to Karen Schlegel for Firehouse Quilts to use in our quilts.
(L-R, standing) Viking employees Olga Schuessler,
Cassie Courtnage, Elaine Schley, (FHQ) Karen Schlegel.
(kneeling) FHQ-Bonnie Guy & Jacque Schneider
Bonnie Guy & Jacque Schneider assembled these quilts, creatively using the embroidery blocks to make adorable snuggle quilts that we will donate to local fire departments, battered women’s shelters, hospitals, etc.
What a fun, welcome difference these blocks make in our quilts. The children that receive these quilts are so excited and they love to see all the special designs.
Wednesday, October 25th, we took 5 quilts into Viking for the employees to see and I snapped this picture to share with the rest of you. They were very impressed to see the creativeness used to create the finished products.
Thank you for thinking of Firehouse Quilts, Viking!
