Dear Dusty,
On behalf of the Women’s Crisis & Family Outreach Center (WCFOC) Board of Directors, staff, and the adults and children we serve, thank you for your donation of 3 bed quilts. Your support is greatly appreciated.
As you know, the WCFOC has faced many challenges but has also achieved many successes over the last couple of years. In December of 2009, and in spite of the economic crisis, we completed the construction on our new Emergency Shelter. The good news: this enables our agency to house more than double the number of victims each year. The bad news: demand was so great that our facility was filled to capacity in the first quarter of 2010.
Going forward, we strive to sustain the range of services we provide – from crisis intervention and shelter to therapy, legal advocacy, and case management – all giving DV survivors a real opportunity to become healthy, violence-free, and self-sufficient. And, as domestic violence remains the number one human rights issue along the Front Range, we work to offer the prevention, education, and awareness that will ultimately improve the quality of life for us all.
2010 marks the WCFOC’s 25th anniversary of “giving victims a voice and families a future.” It is also a year that we can boast a 93% success rate with the families we assist.
Thank you for continuing to share in our challenges and our successes. Through your ongoing support, we are truly making a difference.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Walker Ann Carter Executive Director Director of Development
