An impromptu shopping spree…

We had a great time at the Interfaith Quilt Show in early March and of course on the way home, we had to stop at a couple of quilt shops too.  Now, we were not on a FHQ Shopping Spree, we were just there picking up a few things for ourselves.  But in Quilting Hands at Lyons, ‘someone’ found a back room FULL of kids prints . . . . for $3/yard.  See?  We had no choice; we HAD to buy some fabric for FHQ while we were there.  Check out the beautiful Bargello top behind us.  It was just meant to be, I guess; look how we even match the colors in it.

We went by Harry’s house (Tin Lizzy); they have closed their store front and moved what they didn’t sell already into their garage.  Barbara MC took some pics of things they still have for sale and we promised to get the word out for them.  This beautiful sewing machine cabinet is $500.  Absolutely gorgeous oak, handmade for their shop to keep the bolts of fabric in.  They are 8′ tall, 3 feet wide and about 1 foot deep.  There were 13 of them.  They are charging $75 each; what a wonderful bargain!  A whole display cabinet of Mettler threads; small spools = $1.50, large spools – $4.30 each.  They had a really nice Bernina for a great price but . . . . someone bought it while we were there. LOL   I’ll get email, phone & address for those interested.interfaith2interfaith3
