Denver Health Annual Baby Shower Fundraiser

Today we received a thank you note from Denver Health.  We donate all kinds of things (but mostly small quilts & fleece blankies) for Newborns in Need at this wonderful medical center.  Over 5,000 babies are born to low income families each year.  Our contribution is just a drop in the bucket to what they need for all those babies but we surely make a dent in it.

Dear Dusty,

Thank you for your donation of the quilts to the patients of Denver Health. In their time of need, our patients and families will find comfort in your generosity and consideration.

Each donation make a difference, no matter what size. As you know, it takes a collective effort to ensure the well-being of our underprivileged patients. Denver Health is serious about this responsibility to those patients in need.

Sincerely,
Laurel Ris, Director of Volunteer Services

Saturday, May 5 is their annual Baby Shower fundraiser at Denver Health and we have begun to stockpile new baby items to deliver in bulk for them that day. Several of our volunteers also knit/crochet and they are always bringing in baby afghans, booties and caps, just the cutest little bitty things that will fit a newborn. Our volunteers are also bringing in disposable diapers, wipes, baby powder/oil/shampoo, some ultra cute clothing items, baby books and of course, our snuggle quilts too.

For those of you in the Denver area, here’s a little more information about how you can help too and what items they need at the Baby Shower. Items needed

Thanks so much for helping those less fortunate than we are.
