Sheridan Police Receive Quilts

Cheryl, the Victim Advocate Coordinator for the Sheridan Police Department, received 35 quilts from Firehouse Quilts on January 30th. Cheryl works in conjunction with the police department and is called upon to help mostly with domestic violence situations. Most of the families with children are given the opportunity to visit the victim service unit to receive counseling and are presented with a quilt. They are assisted with obtaining basic necessities and given referrals that enable them to deal with their time of crisis. The delivery was made possible by Joyce, Christie, and Jacque of FHQ.
