Special Quilts at Last Two Sew Days

There were 95 quilts turned in at the last two sew days.  This large amount of quilts has allowed us to reach 1,069 quilts turned in so far in 2017.  The volunteer members of Firehouse Quilts should be so proud of their efforts in making these quilts for children in crisis throughout Colorado.  The quilts are donated to 14 human service agencies, hospitals, and an ambulance company as well as a dozen fire departments.

One quilt turned in came from Bobbie T from Bridgeview, Illinois, and was hand quilted.  This is the second quilt she has donated to FHQ.  A rust and brown quilt top that was donated by the Lusby family was completed by Barbara M and it turned out beautifully.  Quilt number 1,000 for 2017 had cute kittens on it and was made by Karen V.  It’s been a very productive year for Firehouse Quilts.
