Firehouse Quilts had a busy day on 8/2/17!! Our first stop was to Craig Hospital. Always a pleasure to visit such an upbeat healing facility. We delivered 24 quilts and had an opportunity to actually give 2 of our quilts to some very brave and courageous people.
Also on this visit we had a chance to visit the volunteers that work behind the scenes providing support to the patients and their therapists. Armed with their sewing machines and a “MacGyver”energy, they make life a little easier for those who might need help from holding a tooth brush to making a new strap for a pair of shoes.
Our second stop of the day was to the WASH HOUSE LAUNDROMAT in Littleton. Our large donation that Alice Z. picked up last week from Linda F. needed to be washed folded and ready to be stored in our cabinets, and ready to be made into beautiful quilts.
