Catholic Charities Receives Quilts

The Central Colorado unit of Catholic Charities in Castle Rock reached out to Firehouse Quilts recently for quilts.  A delivery of 42 quilts was made to Katie, who is a Counselor and Paul, the Director.  The quilts will be given to families who are experiencing a crisis such as homelessness, abuse, or loss of job.  Some of them could currently be living in their cars.  The clients of Catholic Charities receive gas cards, food, hotel rooms, and counseling as to how to better their lives.  This office also works in conjunction with another organization called Douglas County Cares who helps clients achieve self sufficiency through employment with a caring and supportive process.  The Castle Rock Catholic Charities branch helps people in Douglas, Elbert, and Park Counties.  The delivery was made by Barbara,  Christie, and Jacque.
