Another Great Sew Day for FHQ

On August 24th, the members of Firehouse Quilts were once again able to meet for a sew day.  They met at the Church of Jesus Christ, Jewell Building in Lakewood thanks to the help of Bonnie M.  The huge gymnasium allows everyone to spread out making it a safe place to gather.  There were 196 quilts turned in making the yearly total 1,300.  There have been 957 quilts donated to agencies and fire departments during 2021.  There were also 14 BACA bags, one pillow case, 12 receiving blankets, and 12 crocheted blankets turned in.  It’s so wonderful to be able to meet as a group once again and work on individual projects.
