On January 27th, Barbara C., a member of FHQ, was invited to attend the Arvada Fire-EMS annual promotion and awards ceremony. This event honors new firefighters, officers who are promoted, new hires, groups, and individuals. Also recognized at this ceremony are citizens who support Arvada Fire-EMS. It was a surprise and honor for Barbara to receive the Citizen Award of 2019 on behalf of Firehouse Quilts. This beautiful award was accepted with gratitude and a round of applause by the ladies of FHQ at a recent sew day. It’s nice to know that the efforts put forth by our volunteers are appreciated. Firehouse Quilts is pleased to provide quilts to Arvada Fire-EMS.
