Help and Hope Receives Quilts

On June 25th, a delivery of 71 quilts was made to Jenny and Monica at the Help and Hope Center in Castle Rock.  This organization was founded in 1984 by local churches who wanted to create a place to send people in need.  The agency helps those with serious economic need, homelessness, unemployment, disabilities, and the elderly.  In 2019, they served 16,670 people.  The most urgent needs currently are utility assistance and providing food to those who aren’t able to afford to pay for them because of the pandemic.  Jenny indicated that many have had their electricity turned off.  Other assistance they offer is for housing, overnight lodging, gas cards, clothing, and household items.   Because of the Covid 19 virus, the delivery was very quick and everyone wore protective face masks.  Sarah Z. was the photographer as Jacque S. made this delivery.
