FHQ Receives a Project Warm Hearts Quilt from CQC

At the January Colorado Quilt Council meeting, Barbara C. received a Project Warm Hearts quilt on behalf of FHQ.

Project Warm Hearts gives quilts to various charitable organizations throughout the year.  Members and non-members of CQC make designated blocks and turn them into the Warm Hearts committee each month.  The blocks are sewn into quilts.  With each block turned in, a form is submitted with the name of the person who made the block and the name of the charity that the person wants to receive a quilt.  If your name is chosen from all the submitted forms, you receive a quilt to give to your designated charity.

Members of FHQ who attend FHQ retreats make many blocks for the Warm Hearts Project, which enables CQC to make more than one quilt with all the blocks that have been submitted.  And sometimes, one of our members is selected to receive a quilt from Project Warm Hearts.  Barbara was also asked to tell the group at the meeting about FHQ and our ongoing mission.
