Need for Masks Keeps FHQ Members Busy Sewing

In the past few weeks many members of Firehouse Quilts have diligently made face masks for family, friends, neighbors, and healthcare organizations.  A group of ten ladies made 173 masks for the group homes of Shiloh House.  When the masks were completed, Kathy, who works for Shiloh, drove all over the city to pick them up from the porches of the FHQ ladies.  The children who live in the group homes, as well as the staff, will be using these masks.

Firehouse Quilts member, Barbara M, made masks for a friend and her extended family of 12 in Virginia.  Barbara and Diane met when they were in the first grade and have stayed lifelong friends.  Diane was so moved by Barbara’s generosity that she made a wonderful donation of $125.00 to Firehouse Quilts.

Thank you to all of the members who have taken the time to make face masks and donate them where needed.
