Project Completed During Pandemic

It’s been since March 5th since the members of Firehouse Quilts have been able to sew together.  During the stay at home process many of the members have busied themselves with housework, preparing their yards for spring, and of course, sewing and quilting.  Several members checked in to share some of their finished projects for everyone to see.  Dave Y. made a quilt in many shades of purple for a friend.  He and Kala also made 50 masks for the Colorado Springs Quilt Guild that made over 1,500 masks.  Barbara M. made a couple of snuggle quilts as well as a gorgeous Kaffe Fasset Diamonds quilt.  Unfortunately Dee L. has told me that she has been caring for her husband since he was diagnosed with the Covid virus in mid March.  He has been hospitalized twice but is now recovering at home.  Dee’s family is in our thoughts.  Hopefully the rest of our members have stayed safe and well at home.  It will be a great day when we can all sew together again.
