On March 25th, Alyssia, from Catholic Charities of Central Colorado, received 60 quilts from Firehouse Quilts. This office helps to provide emergency/essential services and counseling to those who are struggling with homelessness and poverty in Douglas County. A family or individual can reach out for shelter, furniture, food, gas cards, baby supplies, and necessities to survive. The day before this quilt delivery, a man who was “passing through” on foot was in need of food and warmth. He received a quilt from FHQ and was so pleased that someone cared enough to make him a quilt. It’s heart warming to know that the quilts from Firehouse Quilts bring comfort to many.
