Surprises from Limb Preservation Foundation

The members of Firehouse Quilts were shown much gratitude by Limb Preservation Foundation on September 23rd.  Marcy R, the Executive Director and Joe G, a volunteer of Limb, brought gorgeous roses, sweet rolls/donuts, coffee, and juice for all of the FHQ members who were turning in quilts.  Two times a year for the past eight years Joe has spoiled the members with pizza parties and hot chocolate and donut parties, but this year he needed to be ingenious to find an outdoor treat because of safe distancing.  The Limb Preservation Foundation puts the quilts that are donated to them into a patient bag that is given to patients with potential limb loss.  The patients are dealing with conditions due to trauma, tumor, or infection.  The members of Firehouse Quilts thank the Limb staff for showing their appreciation of our mission and work.
